Pictures from Heidelburg Germany

This is the Christmas Market in Heidelberg.

  • Click for larger pictureClick for larger picture

There were a lot of people there.

    A lot of people...

This is Heidelberg Castle. I didn't hear for sure, but I think they are in the process of reconstructing it.

This is a little tower that you go through to get on the bridge that crosses the Rhine (I think) river.

Another shot. It is really hard to get a decent picture around dusk.

The Rhine (I think) River. The castle is just out of the picture on the right.

  • Click for larger pictureClick for larger picture

This is the way most of the streets there look.

  • Click for larger pictureClick for larger picture

    Same with the buildings.

We climbed to the top of a church tower and a lot of these photos are from here. Another shot of the castle.

I have no idea what that weird thing in the back is, but it looked interesting.

    Shots of Heidelberg.

  • Click for larger pictureClick for larger picture

    More shots of Heidelberg.

  • Click for larger pictureClick for larger picture

Guess what... even more shots of Heidelberg.

  • Click for larger pictureClick for larger picture

I am not sure exactly what this wall is for, but, again, it looked cool.

I think this is a church surrounded by houses.

  • Click for larger pictureClick for larger picture

Heidelberg houses are really close together and the streets are very small.

  • Click for larger pictureClick for larger picture

Pictures of where we had been. Just follow the lights.

  • Click for larger pictureClick for larger picture

You can really get a decent picture of how many people were actually there.

  • Click for larger pictureClick for larger picture

Could you imagine having a house up there? The view would be cool, but I think it wouldn't be that great of a place in the winter.

Some of the more interesting houses.

My mom wanted me to get some shots of myself for her to show people. (Thanks to Brandy for the pictures)

These were the only two that turned out decent because of it getting dark.

  • Click for larger pictureClick for larger picture

Looking down from the tower you get this shot.

  • Click for larger pictureClick for larger picture

    And this one.

  • Click for larger pictureClick for larger picture

    Wow... another one.

  • Click for larger pictureClick for larger picture

This was a shot of the inside of the church with the night mode.

  • Click for larger pictureClick for larger picture

Sometimes the night mode sucks because you have to keep the camera really still or you get blurry pictures.

  • Click for larger pictureClick for larger picture

This is a zoomed in shot of the star in the other picture, held with a steadier hand.

I remember my parents having something similar to this when I was growing up (on a lot smaller scale). So I had to have a picture. Plus it looked cool.

  • Click for larger pictureClick for larger picture

This was supposed to be a picture of part of the castle. Again with my extremely steady hand.

  • Click for larger pictureClick for larger picture

This one turned out a little better.

  • Click for larger pictureClick for larger picture

This is a shot of Heidelberg. As long as the camera is stationary you can get some awesome night mode pics.

  • Click for larger pictureClick for larger picture

This is without the night mode.

  • Click for larger pictureClick for larger picture

This is the same shot with night mode.

    Another one of Heidelberg.

  • Click for larger pictureClick for larger picture

Another shot of the side of the castle.

  • Click for larger pictureClick for larger picture

I really need to branch out with my pictures.

  • Click for larger pictureClick for larger picture

The one in the front is Joe Griffin and in the back is Parker Crandall.

  • Click for larger pictureClick for larger picture

A semi-failed attempt to take a picture of Brandy Allred and Joe Griffin with Heidelberg in the background. (Do you like the railing?)

  • Click for larger pictureClick for larger picture

This one worked better, but Joe moved his face, and the background is blurry. Meh... take what you can get.

  • Click for larger pictureClick for larger picture

Supposedly this is the worlds largest keg. I really need to get my hands steadier.

  • Click for larger pictureClick for larger picture

This is the same place, but I just used a flash. From bottom to top. John ?, Brandy Allred, Joe Griffin, Parker Crandall.

  • Click for larger pictureClick for larger picture

A nice shot of the castle.

  • Click for larger pictureClick for larger picture

The castle moat, although from what I heard, they never had it filled.

  • Click for larger pictureClick for larger picture

Two more shots of Heidelberg from the castle.

  • Click for larger pictureClick for larger picture

Well I guess this would be the second shot.
